God help me I've started watching Lucky ? Star and it's rotting my brain.... but in a good way. The only reason I really started watching was because of Konata's seiyu is the same as Haruhi. That, and I've seen a lot of spoofs with Lucky Star characters so I wanted to see what the fuss was about... *sigh* too much anime... too little time.

Sigh... I think I've become more then a little obsessed with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It really is a great series... it poses itself as a school life comedy... but it's really a sci-fi. Meh, that alone doesn't make it worth watching, but the narration, presentation, music, characters, everything about it comes together so nicely. Which is why after watching all 14 episodes (apparently a second season was announced in Newtype, yay) I've found a link to the novels. I haven't started reading them yet... namely because it's half past 1 am. Anyway, just thought I'd share the linkie and such. If you haven't already, go watch Haruhi, you might not get it, but it's so worth watching. Twice. Watch it first in the order it was aired in Japan, then watch it in proper chronological order. (look it up

achoo.
Being sick blows. 4 days off while sick, meh. It's the kind of bug that makes you feel like utter shit and you can barely move. Everyone at home's got it. Ugh... time to lay in bed... and by that I mean sit at the computer, (which incidently, is right next to my bed) and marathon anime.
Currently playing:

Work is starting to blow more then usual. I'm looking to get a new job, specifically out of the grocery biz. Guess I'll have to pay attention when I start classes at BCC heh. Beyond that, nothing new... life is just one thing to do while you're waiting for the next so yea.
Keep your mp3 player charged and never leave your DS at home.

Hmm this is a little overdue, but oh well.
Final thoughts on Eureka 7: Great series, not for everyone, but it kinda leaves that nice uplifting feeling when you're done. It's certainly not the best series I've seen, but it does stand out there among mediocre stuff I've been watching recently. Minus a little bit of confusion here and there, it does end well. It pisses me off a little bit how much Renton blubbered and cried... but... after everything's said and done I can somewhat relate to his situations. Some of the difficulties he went through, on some level I've felt the same. I think that's why I like the series so much. Meh. I'm not trying to say I surf on air and ride big mechas and other stuff (avoiding spoilers) but yea.
That's what really gets me into any anime these days. Well, kinda anyway. If it's really good then it's really good weather or not I can relate. i.e. Code Geass, Death Note, Darker then Black, etc. but some lesser rated series out there like Eureka 7, Elfen Lied, Shakugan no Shana, they all had some similarities in character interaction. Or something like that. It's late, now I'm blubbering.
~spoiler ahead, be ye warned~
The series itself ends on a great note, but before that it hurts. Not so much for everyone, but for the pathetic sobs like me, it's painful. Blah, I'll read this in a few months or a year and regret typing it. I know I'm not all deprived and all that shit, I know what's important in my life right now. I know. It's just a creeping feeling I get when I can't sleep at night, or walking home from work. These
days I feel like Anemone at the end of the series before Dominic shows
up. Just kinda like... screw it, oh well. Mind you, I'm not suicidal,
just kinda lonely and... "Oh well."Oh well, it was an interesting life.
Do I regret anything?
If I were to say "no",. that would be a lie.
I mean, I'm still pretty young.
I'd like to have tried shopping.
Wouldn't it have been great to have tried more tasty foods?
And, well... you know...
had someone to love.
If I could've done all that, it would have been the best.
Yeah, it would've been great...
But somehow, all I really have is this "oh well" feeling.
Really...
"Oh well"...

Wow, so I just watched like... 35 episodes of Eureka Seven today... After what I've already watched now I'm just down to the last 10. It's still early for a series that's already done but I'll shoot out my thoughts. I've heard a lot of mixed feelings about this series, mostly concerning a weak storyline. I can, however, see what they're pointing at. From what I see, it's a lot of the, "oh godammit, just say it!!!!!!!" type of frustration that comes with watching it, and the anticipation of when the moment comes that it'll actually be said. Despite the possible shortcomings this series has, I really like it. At first, I was a little mildy turned off by the beginning of the series because I was afraid it was gonna be like a sky pirate One Piece or something. It wasn't thankfully. (as a note, I'm never wrong; I'm either right or pleasantly surprised =3 ) Not only do I like the storyline, the characters, the style, and the general mood of the series... it's mecha, and I'm a mecha slut.
Hmm what else, on Odin Sphere, I've unlocked the 4th character, Oswald. I gotta say, between him and the other sword wielding character, Cornelius... it's a tough choice. Ozzy has the Belderiver, a nasty sword that gives him the power to slay even the mightiest of dragons. Such a power comes with a terrible price.... Then there's Cornelius and well... he has a sword that's been passed down from his grandfather and it's blue. And err... he's been transformed into a bunny... and... well he gets to hook up with... nah I don't wanna spoil it. If I'm reading this sometime in the future then go back and play it again lazy ass.
Anyway, it's freaking 2:41 am at the time of this post, so now I'm gonna head to bed and tomorrow I'll finish up Eureka Seven. Man I love my days off work, even if it's not on a proper weekend.
